Zoo School

A fun, active program that lets children, ages 4 years old through 13 years old, learn about the wild world of animals.  Through games, activities, zoo tours and up close encounters with touchable animals, participants will strengthen their knowledge and passion for animals.  With our new format, you have more flexibility.  Each session is a week long where you choose one class or two classes for a full day of fun!  All sessions are tailored to your child’s age level.

Program runs two sessions: 9:00 am - 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm. You may sign your child up for one or both sessions. Each session is limited to 15 children, so register early!

Members Pricing: $75 half day, $140 full day
Non-Members Pricing: $85 half day, $160 full day

Monday, June 24 - Friday, June 28 (4 & 5 years)
The 5 Senses: Come use your five senses to find out how animals understand their environments! We'll be using our sense of sight, hearing, smell, taste, and touch to interact with the world as the animals do.

Monday, July 1 - Friday, July 5 (6 & 7 years) 
Get Moving!: Run (don't walk!) to join us as we hop, slither, and crawl like our animal friends at the zoo. We'll learn about how animals move from place to place as we get on our feet and get moving!

Monday, July 8 - Friday, July 12 (8, 9, & 10 years) 
Mythical Animals: Where did Remus Lupin from the Harry Potter series get his strange name? Find out as we learn about animal myths from cultures all over the world!

Monday, July 15 - Friday, July 19 (11, 12, & 13 years) 
Leaping Leopards!: Learn about endangered animals and what we can do to help them!

Monday, August 5 - Friday, August 9 (4 & 5 years)

Junior Biologists:
This program aims to provide valuable knowledge and experience to students looking into careers involving animals. Half of the day will be spent with education staff learning concepts used by real field biologists, and half of the day will be spent shadowing and assisting keepers on their rounds at the zoo. 

Program runs 9:00 am - 4:00 pm.
