ZooMobile
The ZooMobile program is a mobile education tool that
brings a variety of live animals directly to your location. The ZooMobile
visits schools, nursing homes, community meetings, libraries, and
community fairs/events. Formal and informal presentation styles are
available.
-
Formal Presentation
This presentation is in the form of a lecture, covering the topic at
hand. This type of presentation involves a thirty to forty-five minute
formal classroom presentation. The presentations can be tailored for
pre-K through adults.
Topics include, but are not limited to: animal classification, habitats,
endangered animals, misunderstood animals, animal adaptations, survival
techniques, rainforests, or any special predetermined topic. (Topics are
modified for each age group.)
Presentations may be for groups of up to 30 individuals. Special
auditorium presentations are available for groups of more than 30.
Multiple presentations may be arranged at a single location.
-
Informal Presentation
In this type of presentation animals are presented to allow people
to walk by at their leisure, ask questions and observe the animals up
close. Five to six touchable and non-touchable animals will be on hand.
It is designed to be at your location for two to three hours. This
presentation is best suited for community events, festivals, etc.

Junior Biologists
What are you going to be when you grow up? The Junior
Biologist program is designed to give high school kids, those leaving
eighth grade through twelfth, an opportunity to take a closer look at zoos
and zoo careers. Individuals will meet for four days during one week in
the summer. Part of each day will be spent assisting the Zookeepers and
learning about the job they do, while the other part will be spent
learning about different aspects of the environment and the animals that
inhabit it.
ZooSchool
ZooSchool, Mini ZooSchool, and
Tiny ZooSchool give
children in kindergarten through sixth grade a great opportunity to learn
about the interesting world of animals.
ZooSchool
Through games, films, Zoo tours, and supervised animal handling, children
in grades one through six will be able to discover fascinating facts about
animals. Children will even be able to see what goes on "behind the
scenes" at the Zoo! Snacks will be served in all sessions. Sessions are
tailored to your child's age level and cover a variety of topics.
Mini ZooSchool
This is a condensed version of ZooSchool for children who have completed
kindergarten. Children will be able to discover more about the animal
kingdom through a special Zoo tour, craft projects, and an opportunity to
meet animals up close from our ZooMobile collection.
Tiny ZooSchool
This is a program for children entering kindergarten and a parent or
guardian. Through special hands-on experiences and tours, little ones will
be introduced to many different members of the animal kingdom.
